Food Ministry & Loaves & Fishes

The St. Paul's Loaves and Fishes program, sponsored by the Federated Church is a hands-on example of how people put feet to their faith as the scripture calls us to do.

In 1992 it became known that the community churches around St Paul's did not have a host for a hot meal the last Sunday of each month. The homeless had no place to go. Folks at Federated combined their talents with the St Paul's crew and embraced this opportunity to give a helping hand to their brothers and sisters in faith. Since the beginning so many years ago, a hot nourishing meal has been served every last Sunday of the month, year round, for approximately 100 people.

The small dedicated crew at St Pauls welcomes numerous Chagrin Valley groups as they journey over to this very different culture to not only create and serve a nourishing meal but to make new friends and get to know their guests.

Always an event to look forward to is St. Paul's Vacation Bible School each summer! Children, ages 3 years through 6th grade from both east and west sides of Cleveland journey each evening for a week to explore the Bible in most unusual creative ways!

First all join to create a nourishing dinner that they serve to each other and then everyone gets energized for Christ through fun games, activities and discussions. Skits and songs abound and the week culminates with a family program for all to share. summer. If you would like to volunteer and get involved at St.Pauls, click here
